SaveCue is a local-first Android app for saving links, text, and images and bringing them back through reminders. This policy explains how the current release handles data.

Data you choose to save

When you share content to SaveCue or create an item directly, the app stores its title, text, URL, image, reminder and recurrence settings, optional action type, completion state, and resurfacing history locally on your device. Images are copied to private app storage. Recognized text from screenshots is produced and stored on-device. Calendar views are generated from this locally stored reminder information.

SaveCue does not operate an account system, cloud-sync service, advertising system, or backend that receives this saved content. SanWareHub does not collect, sell, or share saved content. Opening a saved URL sends that URL to the browser or compatible app you choose, which handles it under its own terms and privacy practices.

On-device text recognition and technical data

SaveCue uses the bundled Google ML Kit text-recognition SDK. Image recognition runs on the device; SaveCue does not intentionally send the image or recognized text to Google for recognition.

Google states that ML Kit Android SDKs collect limited device and application information, per-installation identifiers not intended to uniquely identify a person or physical device, performance metrics, API configuration, input/output sizes, feature versions, event types, and error codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states that this technical data is encrypted in transit and is not shared with third parties. This limited technical collection is performed by Google's SDK, not a SanWareHub analytics service. See Google's ML Kit disclosure.

Permissions and device access

SaveCue requests notification permission when you schedule a reminder or enable resurfacing on Android versions that require it. Images enter the app only through Android's narrow share permission; SaveCue does not request broad photo, media, or storage access.

The release also contains operational permissions contributed by AndroidX WorkManager and Google ML Kit: receive boot completion to preserve scheduled work after restart; wake lock and foreground-service access to run eligible background work; network-state access for work constraints; and internet access for ML Kit's documented technical diagnostics. SaveCue blocks cleartext network traffic.

Private Vault

The optional Private Vault encrypts protected item content and images locally using an authenticated encryption key held by Android Keystore. Opening the Vault uses Android's biometric or device-credential prompt. SaveCue receives only the authentication result and does not receive or store your fingerprint, face data, PIN, pattern, or password.

Limited scheduling and lifecycle metadata remains available locally so reminders and item state can continue to work while the Vault is locked. Decrypted image previews are temporary and are removed when the Vault locks or the app starts again. There is no SanWareHub recovery key or cloud copy; clearing app data, uninstalling the app, removing device security, or losing the device can make protected content unrecoverable.

Retention and deletion

Saved content remains on your device while the app is installed. You can delete individual items, selected items, or all applicable items using SaveCue's deletion controls. Automatic Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled. SaveCue currently has no cloud copy, account, or user-facing export service. Clearing SaveCue's app data or uninstalling it removes private local data according to Android platform behavior.

Children

SaveCue is a general productivity utility and is not directed to children.
